Surely I Would Speak to the Almighty Job 13:1-14

The World Thinks They Have Great Knowledge, but Job Speaks with God (13:1-3)
1 Lo, mine eye hath seen all this, mine ear hath heard and understood it.
2 What ye know, the same do I know also: I am not inferior unto you.
3 Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.

Job 23:3 Oh that I knew where I might find him! that I might come even to his seat!

Job 31:35 Oh that one would hear me! behold, my desire is, that the Almighty would answer me, and that mine adversary had written a book.

The World Has a Distorted View and Cannot See the Truth (13:4-5)
4 But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.
5 O that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom.

I Cor. 2:6-10 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

I Cor. 6:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The World Needs the Truth of God and God Will Search Them out (13:6-9)
6 Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.
7 Will ye speak wickedly for God? and talk deceitfully for him?
8 Will ye accept his person? will ye contend for God?
9 Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock him?

Mark 2:17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Rom. 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

2 Pet. 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

The World’s Philosophy Will Be Judged Because it Lacks Truth (13:10-12)
10 He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons.
11 Shall not his excellency make you afraid? and his dread fall upon you?
12 Your remembrances are like unto ashes, your bodies to bodies of clay.

Prov. 12:17 He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.
Prov. 12:19 The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.
Prov. 14:22 Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.
Prov. 16:6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

The World Does Not Want God’s People to Speak the Truth (13:13)
13 Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and let come on me what will.

The Needs To Trust God With Their Lives (13:14)
14 Wherefore do I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in mine hand?
