The Lord Cometh Jude 1:12-15
Introduction: Areas of rebellion mentioned previously by Jude were spots on the testimony of the church. He gave examples of the past failures in the history of Israel and related them to the attitudes of those who desire to rebel against the Lord and destroy the ongoing work of Christ through the church.

They Have Nothing Real to Offer and Are Flighty - clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; - Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift is like clouds and wind without rain. Prov. 25:14
What They Do Give Is Worthless and Not Good Fruit - trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit -
They Are Lost from Birth and Continue Without Spiritual Rebirth - twice dead, plucked up by the roots; - But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. Matt. 15:13
Everything they do shows their wicked character - Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; -
They Are Not under the Control of Their Creator - wandering stars, - astereV planhtai
Their Fate in Sealed for Eternity - to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. - Their fate is eternity in obscurity and oblivion. These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. 2 Peter 2:17
THE PROMISE OF GOD AS HOPE - 1:14
Enoch’s Preaching Was a Warning to the Lost and an Encouragement to Believers - And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, - And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. Gen. 5:23-24
The Lord Will Come Back With His Children To Bring Judgment - Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, -
I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. Dan. 7:9-10
Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. Zech. 14:3-5
THE JUDGMENT OF GOD AS RECOMPENSE - 1:15
Universal Judgment for the Lost - To execute judgment upon all, - to fulfill or keep His promise of judgment.
And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world...Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Matt. 25:32-34,41

Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; 2 Thess. 1:6-9
They Will Be Held Accountable for Every Word - and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. "Hard" - sklhrwn - tough or fierce.
Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; 2 Peter 2:11-13
