Luke 12:10-12 Blasphemy Against The Holy Spirit
Introductory: Read all three passages: Matthew 12:22-32; Mark 3:22-29; Luke 12:10-12
Introduction: Remember, that blasphemy is not enough to prevent someone from being born again and entering into the presence of Christ.
I Tim. 1:12-13 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
Remember also, that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is not the same as the sin unto death - I John 5:16-17 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

The blasphemy spoken of in these passages could only occur when Jesus physically walked the earth
The blasphemy could only occur when men denounced the work of the Holy Spirit in Christ’s life
Christ’s Deity challenged by the pharisees, while at the same time denying the holy spirit.
*The Focus of This Passage Is The Healing of A Possessed Man - Matthew 12:22-23 "Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw. And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?
The context of Mark is The Same, but adds the calling of the 12 to cast out demons, and the fact that He is The Son of God - Mark 3:11-21
*Jesus’ Statement Is Directly Related to the Pharisees Accusation That Jesus Performed Miracles by the Power of Satan - Matt 12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
Mark 3:22 And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

Key event in understanding blasphemy against the Holy Spirit and a Key word, "Wherefore" found in Matthew 12:31. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
*This Blasphemy Against the Holy Spirit Is Absolute and Eternal - Matthew 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
*Denying Christ Publically Is Denied Before the Father - Luke 12:8-9 Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.
His Teaching Would Empower the Disciples When They Stood Before Kings and Those Who Would Take Their Lives - Luke 12:12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
