JAIRUS HAD AN ISSUE REGARDING DEATH  -  (8:41-42, 49-56)

All Men, Great and Small, Face the Issue of Death: 8:41-42

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:    Rom. 5:12

Death Is Inevitable and Seems Final: 8:49 ...Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master.

For the wages of sin is death... Rom. 6:23

That as sin hath reigned unto death... Rom. 5:21

Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. James 1:15

Death Is Not the Final Frontier, for Jesus Is Life: 8:50

But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. Rom. 5:15

For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Rom. 5:17

That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom. 5:21

Even in Death, Jesus’ Love Is Evident: 8:51 ...he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the maiden.

When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept. John 11:33-35

Jesus knows the Time For Each Person’s life and death 8:52 And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth.

Matt. 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

John 11:4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

1 Cor. 4:9 For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.

The world does not understand that life that Jesus can give

8:53 And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead.

And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. I John 5:19-20

The Giving of life is a casual, but important matter to Christ - 8:54-55

He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. I John 5:10-13

The miracle of life should always amaze God’s people

8:56 And her parents were astonished...

Mark 5:42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.

Mark 7:37 And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
