Your Father Knows Luke 12:22-34

 

HAVE COMPLETE TRUST IN GOD - 12:22-23 Cf. Phil. 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Psalm 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

I Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

 

CONSIDER THE GREATNESS OF GOD - 12:24-27

God takes care of His creation - consider the ravens, lilies how they grow

You do not have the power to even change your height

If you cannot do the smallest thing in creation, why would you worry over your provision?

The wisest man who ever lived could not control his own life, but had to trust in God.

Job 38: 33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth? Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?  Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are? Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart? Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven...Who provideth for the raven his food?


REMEMBER THE COMPASSION OF GOD FOR HIS CHILDREN 12:28-30

If God can care for a piece of tender grass, He can certainly care for you. - “how much more will he clothe you?”

Never doubt what God can do - neither be ye of doubtful mind.

Never worry about the small things, God knows your need “and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.”


REALIZE THE CHALLENGE OF GOD TO HIS PEOPLE - 12:31-34

Seek the Lord as a priority of life - seek ye the kingdom of God - Matt. 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Everything you truly need will be supplied - and all these things shall be added unto you.

Our heavenly Father loves to provide for His children
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Be generous and do right in life - Sell that ye have, and give alms;

Choose the Lord first, and never allow money to cloud your thinking - For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
