Philippians 2:14-16   How to Hold Forth The Word of Life

No secret debate
No grumbling
No grudges
No promoting ill will

Secret debate that is not public, grumbling against others that promote ill will rather than harmony.

And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.  Acts 6:1

Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.  1 Cor 10:10-11

 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.  Jude 1:15-16

No quarreling or bickering
Don’t bring controversy.  Thinking of a man deliberating with himself.  

Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom. Prov 13:10

 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.  Rom. 12:18

Be Righteous in a Perverse Nation

Reveal Christ in our Lives
Let the light of the transfigured Christ Shine from your lives

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.  Matt 5:14-16

 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.  Eph 5:8-10

Consistent living
Constant walking
Courageous attitude
Compliant heart

O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works. Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.  Psalms 71:17-18

What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.  Matt 10:27

Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:  Luke 12:8

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:  1 Peter 2:9

WHY? Athat I may rejoice in the day of Christ@ - ►For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?  1 Thess 2:19

As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as ye also are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.  2 Cor 1:14

WHY? Athat I have not run in vain, neither labored in vain@ - ►Then I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in vain: yet surely my judgment is with the LORD, and my work with my God.  Isaiah 49:4

And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.  Gal 2:2

For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain. But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you: Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith: For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.  1 Thess. 3:5-8
