Hold Fast Your Profession - Hebrews 10:23
Gal. 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Phil. 4:1 Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.

Heb. 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
James 1:6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
1 Cor. 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
1Thess. 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

the profession - thn omologian - to say the same thing or agree with the statement of another person. The confessed faith in the Messianic sacrifice of Christ. Some a heart faith and some an intellectual assent.
Of our faith - Consider the corporate testimony - thV elpidoV - usually translated hope.
Phil. 1:27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
Heb. 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
Rev. 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
2 Thess. 2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
THE COMMAND - without wavering - Never deviate or turn to the right or left - Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. - aklinh - Not to lean back toward the OT, but look to the one who is the New Testament - 9:15 - Lit. to keep going forward in life, never bending! Apparently many were wavering under persecution or undecided about whether to embrace Christ as Savior or return to Judaism. We are to move forward with Christ because of His faithfulness.
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. ..A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:6-8
THE CONDITION - (For he is faithful that promised) - The reason for steadfast character and diligence is quite obvious - it is the testimony of Christ. epaffeilamenoV - Aor Mid Ptc

Heb 11:11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
1 Cor. 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Cor. 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
